I confess. Short story. Conceived in Sweden, born in New York 1946. Spent the first 13 years in Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. After moving to Finland in 1960, graduated Munkkiniemi High School 1968.
Worked as an apprentice, later as an industrial designer in the electronics lab at Helvar 1971-74.
Studied and graduated as a photographer from the University of Industrial Arts in Helsinki 1981, (Aalto University). Co-founded Studico, a commercial studio, with two colleges in 1978. In it´s heyday it was
one of Finlands biggest studios with a broad customer base of advertising agencies.
Schooled myself in aviation starting from gliders in the mid sixties through to a CPL(A), CPL(H).
Was a freelance general aviation and helicopter pilot from 1984 to 2002. Full time SAR pilot in 2000.
In my later life I have occasionally switched from behind the camera into the spot lights.
Working with my hands has always been an integral part of my identity. Fixing, building,
crafting, you name it. Also known as a senior common sense adviser.
